Dip-dye Denim (Hell yeah, alliteration.)

Okay, so I've found this website I adore that just has the best DIYs ... ever. It's called
HonestlyWTF. Today I decided I'd try one of my favorites- "The Ombré Denim." So, all credits for ideas go to them, but pictures that follow are of me trying it out. I have to say, I love it!

Rinsing those suckas out.

Checking out the dye.

My dog Duke helped.

Check out that ... DYE JOB, BITCHESS.

It's like a beautiful flag.
Which reminds me.

Happy 4th of July, guys! Hope you spent it in an equally fun way. C:

Love, from the Homeless Hero.

Summer of '11, meet my romper.

And, my dear romper, you'll be pleased to meet the summer of '11.
Let's be honest, this has to be the most functional piece of clothing in existence. No shirt, no shorts? No problem, have a romper.
Plus it's just fun. I mean even the word romper makes me want to jump around in a field of daisies.
And it's fun to say. Try it. ROMPER. Romper. romper.

I'm sorry for being so unbearably cheerful.
I JUST REALLY LIKE ROMPERS, GUISEEE.

Much Love,
The Homeless Hero.

P.S. Sorry about the terrible photo quality. I don't love my webcam either.

Does this not just inspire you?

I need to do something important with my life.

I hate Rebecca Black, but-

Just making a cake for my best friend's birthday, no biggie. Of course, not right now because it's the ungodly hours of the night. But I will tomorrow. Then we'll have before and after pictures.

Since I'm already on the subject, I'm just gonna make a shout-out to
the birthday girl. Her name's Hannah Breslau, and she is like no other. I've known this girl for what seems like the longest time, and it's safe to call her my best friend. She is one of the singularly most talented, brilliant, generous, and allover inspiring people on the planet. No matter where she moves; Boston, Sacramento, Kobe, or Pittsburgh, she makes a difference on peoples' lives.

She gives people someone to love.

Hannah, I will miss you so much when you move away again. I
don't even think I can describe it. But then again, I don't think I'll have to. I won't be missing you. Because I will put all my effort into staying your friend. Trust me, I intend to know the name of every guy you have a crush on. ;)

On your special day, (yes, I know it's a completely narcissistic concept, but let me have
this one) I hope that you have the best possible last-birthday-in-Sacramento. Love you so much. And when things get rough, always remember that there are people out there who love you for you. And I'll always be one of them.

"Because I knew you, I have been changed for good..."

Best Friends 'til the Banana Splits,
Sydney

P.S.- This picture kinda sucks, but then again, it's a little bit cute.

A Peephole to Insanity

Hi kids! My name's Ke$ha. Drink, do drugs, have sex, and drop out of school. JUST KIDDING. My name's Sydney, and I'm one of the writers of this blog.

And I'm Erika, not quite as a extravagant and sophisticated as Ke$ha but I'm getting there!
I'm the second writer of this blog.
Or the first, no importance. We are IGUALES. Which is Spanish for equals...I think? Whatever. So, I guess we should talk about our interests.
Erika, go first. o:

(Ehem according to google translate we are l'égalité but you know, that's French). Hmmm, well I'm just your average kid, angst and all that.
I like teacups and astronomy, I collect dream catchers and mood rings.
Sydney?

Wow, way to be fancy with your Google technology. I am also quite angsty, being 15 and all. I try not to talk too much, but I never succeed. I drink way too much coffee. Annnd, I like to climb chimneys and hang from the stars. No, I wish. I spend too much time in vintage stores and at school. I like being around people. But more than that i like being around books. I collect lint balls and family jewelry.
Hum. Favorite band, dear?

You magnificent child. Hm, I don't really have a favourite...but currently I am digging Stealing Sheep, Black Flag and Cat's Eyes.
;o What musical magic has got you drumming your fingers?

Well gosh, this changes pretty frequently, but let's see. I adore Vampire Weekend, Guster, the Beatles, Keren Ann and Ben Folds. Just to name a few ... BUT. I also love the music I make myself, from my bass and my baritone horn! That made me sound conceited, but I don't care. I think that pretty sums me up well, minus the fact that I adore the books "A Wrinkle in Time" by Madeline L'Engle and "Looking for Alaska" by John Green.
Anything you have to add?

Nope, sounds good to me!

Well, hurray. I guess that's our first post! So, thanks for reading our intro, kiddos. Sincerely,

Erika, the Teacupped Crusader and Sydney, the Homeless Hero
